A new plastic surgery department has recently opened within the Assistance Publique des H\u00f4pitaux de Paris<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since January 5, 2012<\/strong>, the department led by Professor Lantieri<\/strong>, of which I am a member, has relocated to the Georges Pompidou European Hospital<\/strong>, located in the 15th arrondissement of Paris<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We now have access to one of Europe\u2019s most advanced medical platforms<\/strong>, enabling us to perform cutting-edge procedures in reconstructive surgery<\/strong>. The department includes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

• 10 conventional hospital beds<\/strong>, all in private rooms<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
• A dedicated outpatient surgery unit<\/strong> for same-day procedures<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

  We are actively developing programs in:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Breast reconstruction<\/strong>, particularly autologous reconstruction<\/strong> using the DIEP free abdominal flap technique<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Face transplants<\/strong>, building on prior successful procedures<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Hand and upper limb transplantation<\/strong>, in collaboration with the hospital\u2019s hand surgery department<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Larynx transplants<\/strong>, in partnership with the ENT department<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
