  Breast Reconstruction After Mastectomy<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

  Breast implants are also widely used in post-mastectomy reconstruction<\/strong> for women who have undergone breast removal due to cancer.
  Implants offer a quick and reliable<\/strong> way to recreate breast volume.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  However, more and more women receive radiotherapy<\/strong> after breast cancer treatment.
  Radiation significantly reduces the predictability and success of silicone implant reconstruction, increasing the risk of capsular contracture<\/strong> to over 20%<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  In these cases, we recommend autologous reconstruction techniques<\/strong>, such as DIEP flaps<\/strong> (using the patient’s own tissue), for better long-term results.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
