What Is Blepharoplasty?

Eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty) is a cosmetic procedure that improves both the appearance and function of the upper and/or lower eyelids. It provides a refreshed, rejuvenated look with relatively quick recovery.

Upper Eyelid Surgery:

Removes excess skin and muscle from the upper lid
May include removal of fat near the inner eye corner
A scar is hidden in the natural crease of the upper eyelid

Lower Eyelid Surgery:

Usually performed via a transconjunctival incision (inside the eyelid), leaving no visible scar
